Ian's Mondel Cookies - with butterscotch chips
Actually, it's based on Ian's great-grandmother's delicious mondel bread recipe. A cross between a sugar cookie and shortbread, and distantly related to biscotti. Home-style goodness with a family history; updated with butterscotch chips. One batch is about 1.5 pounds (about 30 pieces). It would make Grandma so proud…
Ingredients: flour, sugar, butterscotch chips, vegetable shortening, eggs, vanilla, baking powder, salt.
